Get tokens on Pop Network
This guide will teach how to bridge tokens from the Polkadot Relay chain to Pop Network
Introduction
Pop Network uses the Polkadot Relay chain's native token: DOT.
Paseo is Polkadot's Testnet. Its Relay chain native token is PAS.
This guide will teach you how to bridge PAS tokens from the Paseo Relay chain to Pop Network.
What is covered in this guide is also relevant for the Polkadot Relay chain.
Setup Polkadot Account
Make sure you have a Polkadot account. You can use one of the following recommended wallets:
Paseo Network
Once you have a compatible Polkadot wallet with a Polkadot account created, open PolkadotJs Apps UI and select Paseo:
Make sure your account appears there:
Paseo Faucet
Now go to the Paseo Faucet and request some PAS tokens:
In production (Polkadot), you would be funding your account with DOT
You should now see 100 PAS tokens in your account on Paseo:
Bridging from Paseo to Pop Network
You can now use the Pop Network Onboarding UI to bridge tokens from Paseo to Pop Network:
The token amount (minus the tx fee) will appear on Pop Network:
Congrats! You have successfully bridged tokens from Paseo to Pop Network!
